Did you know that heart disease takes the lives of “500,000 women each year” (American Heart Association)? To show support for people dealing with this disease, eighteen staff members and a significant portion of the student population participated in "Wear Red for Women Day" on Friday, February 3rd. During this event, participants wore red and donated money to the American Heart Association. Pitman Middle School has participated in this event for several years at the direction of Mrs. Drank. Participants in this event raised $85.00 for the American Heart Association and were given “red treats” for their efforts. Click the icon below to learn more about "Wear Red Day".
