Converting Operational Dollars to Instructional Dollars and Savings to Taxpayers

In summer 2010, the District completed the installation of over 1,200 solar panels at Pitman High School as part of the solar energy referendum that was authorized by voters in September 2009.

Check out our energy savings by viewing the link below. You'll find the latest real time information about the energy that the solar panels are producing for the high school, as well as the revenue generated by the solar panel system. Revenue is generated by the solar panels through the sale of SREC's (Solar Renewable Energy Credits) back to the utility companies.  This revenue is used to offset some of the district's remaining energy costs.
