25-26 Pitman Technology Insurance Plan
About the PIP
Repairing Chromebooks and iPads represents a significant cost to the district. As Chromebooks and iPads have become essential learning tools, an insurance plan has been instituted to ensure devices remain protected, while insulating families from the rising costs of repairs.
The Pitman Insurance Plan (PIP) is a mandatory annual insurance plan for all students in grades 3-12. This mandate extends to all students assigned school technology for use off-school grounds (iPad or Chromebook) through the Child Study Team office as an assistive accommodation, or the building administrator for academic purposes.
The cost of this annual insurance is 15$ per student, not to exceed $45/family.
The insurance allows for two claims per school year for accidental damage to devices, excluding loss. Additional details can be found in the 2025-26 Technology Handbook
How to enroll

Families with students in multiple buildings may choose to make payment at either school.

Please notate each student's name on the memo line of the check.

Log in to your LunchTime Payment Portal account.

Click on “Items, Fees, & Invoices.”

Under Items/Fees, click the blue “select” button for the appropriate insurance plan.

Click on the cart and follow the prompts for payment.

Navigate to the LunchTime Payment Portal.

In the upper right-hand corner, select "Sign up."

Enter your information.

Next, link your child to your account by first selecting "Student Access and Cafeteria Account."

Click "Add Student" on the right.

Enter your zip code and select your child's school.

Enter your child’s last name, first name, and Student number. If you don't know your student's number, it can be referenced in PowerSchool Parent - on your student's demographics page.

Finally, click "Add Student" and repeat these steps for each child in your family or return to step 1 above to enroll in the plan.
