Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

The following important information as it pertains to qualifying for free or reduced meals for the 2025-26 school year:

1) In order to qualify for either free or reduced meals, you must apply this year even if you applied in the past. Note: As an exception, if you received a letter of eligibility from the school district, you do not need to apply.

2) If you qualified for free or reduced meals in 2024-25, there is a grace period for the first 30 school days. As a result, your 2024-25 status will remain in effect through Friday, October 17th. Then, on Monday, October 20th, you will be moved to paid status if the district did not receive a 2024-25 application. However, if the district did receive an application and you met the eligibility requirements, then that new status (free or reduced) will go into effect at that time.

3) In an effort to serve more children and families, the eligibility requirements have recently expanded. Therefore, we encourage you to apply as there is a higher likelihood for eligibility in 2025-26 than in prior years.
