Projects Explained
The Pitman Board of Education carefully chose infrastructure projects that would receive the maximum amount of state aid – 34% of the project costs – to offset local taxes.
This strategy allows the district to complete critical repairs and maintenance upgrades to our aging school buildings using a mix of local and state funds. This state aid comes from taxes collected across the state and is only available if voters in Pitman approve the bond referendum.
