      • Pitman Public Schools Reconfiguration Plan 2023/2024

        Over the past month, the Pitman Board of Education has been considering the possible reconfiguration of the district's schools due to a loss of state aid for next school year. After much consideration, and with few viable options, the board has approved the reconfiguration plan which was originally presented and discussed at a number of community meetings held this past month. Please know that this decision did not come easy as we all value the school structures that we have enjoyed for many years.

        The final plan approved by the board of education at their meeting held on April 19, 2023 is as follows:

        • All 7th and 8th grade students will be housed in Pitman High School starting in September 2023;
        • All 2nd through 6th grade students will be housed in the current middle school starting in September 2023;
        • All Preschool through 1st grade students will continue to be housed in Memorial School;
        • Pitman High School will now be referred to as:  Pitman Junior/Senior High School;
        • Pitman Middle School will be temporarily referred to as: Pitman Elementary School until such time that a permanent name is approved by the Board of Education.

        Please note that in the next few weeks we will be planning opportunities for all parents and community members to visit our schools so that you can see firsthand how the school buildings will be arranged for next year. Details regarding these dates and times will be sent out very soon.

        On behalf of the board of education, administration, and staff, we thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work through these challenging times.

      • New Food Service Software

        Lunchtime

        This year the district cafeteria programs will be using LunchTime software for managing all student accounts.  LunchTime replaces Pay Schools which was previously used for this purpose.  Parents will have the same capabilities they have had in the past.

        Just a reminder that the federal free lunches for all students ended on June 30, 2022.  There will no longer be free lunches for all students.  Any student who qualifies for a free or reduced lunch will have to complete the appropriate application.  Please click on the link for more information on LunchTime and free and reduced lunch.
