Building on our unique traditions, the mission of the Pitman School District, in partnership with families and our community, is to educate all students through exceptional learning experiences to be discerning, ethical, confident citizens. It is the expectation of this school district that all pupils achieve the New Jersey Student Learning Standards at all grade levels.
Pitman Public Schools Reconfiguration Plan 2023/2024
Over the past month, the Pitman Board of Education has been considering the possible reconfiguration of the district's schools due to a loss of state aid for next school year. After much consideration, and with few viable options, the board has approved the reconfiguration plan which was originally presented and discussed at a number of community meetings held this past month. Please know that this decision did not come easy as we all value the school structures that we have enjoyed for many years.
The final plan approved by the board of education at their meeting held on April 19, 2023 is as follows:
Please note that in the next few weeks we will be planning opportunities for all parents and community members to visit our schools so that you can see firsthand how the school buildings will be arranged for next year. Details regarding these dates and times will be sent out very soon.
On behalf of the board of education, administration, and staff, we thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work through these challenging times.
Kindergarten registration for the 23-24 school year is open. All students turning 5 by October 1, 2023, are eligible to register. Please register using the link below. Students who are currently attending our preschool program will automatically be enrolled and do not need to complete the online registration.
Should you have any questions regarding the registration process, please contact Mrs. Miller, Memorial School principal, at firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to working with your family.

Just a reminder that the federal free lunches for all students ended on June 30, 2022. There will no longer be free lunches for all students. Any student who qualifies for a free or reduced lunch will have to complete the appropriate application. Please click on the link for more information on LunchTime and free and reduced lunch.
